Viva Spanish reserves the right to change the details of its services, including courses, teachers, facilities and course dates where circumstances beyond Viva Spanish’s control necessitate such changes or where the number of enrolments is not enough to operate a course viably. The right is also reserved to decline any person at any time without liability.
To enrol on a course applicants should complete the enrolment form by booking online at vivaspanishmadrid.com or send it to Viva Spanish by email. All bookings made online are subject to confirmation by email.
One academic hour lasts 50 minutes except evening classes, 45 minutes.
Intensive courses have morning lessons and afternoon activities.
Transportation, meals and entrance costs (museum, etc) are not included.
Viva Spanish places students in a group suitable to their level. Class schedules may be subject to change. Timetable preferences should be communicated when booking but cannot be guaranteed. Viva Spanish reserves the right to move students to a more appropriate class according to their Spanish level.
In the case that there is only 1 student enrolled on a course of a certain level, the number of classes will be reduced to 50% of the published number and 75% in the case of 2 students.
Viva Spanish reserves the right to apply our terms, if student enrols to Viva Spanish courses through an agent.
The student can recover lost classes only if the absence is caused by medical reasons, a medical report must be shown.
The student can access all the facilities of the centre, which has fully equipped classrooms, library and free WiFi. The books of the library are only for the use and enjoyment of the students.
An unofficial certificate will be issued, in accordance with the non regulated teaching legislation.
Enrolment, payment methods and conditions
A full payment must accompany all applications and must be paid either by credit card (Visa or MasterCard) or by inter-bank transfer to Viva Spanish bank account. Bank charges such as commissions will be paid by the student. In case of payment through PayPal, the school reserves the right to charge a 4% fee for administrative fees. All payments must be in Euro. Student’s name should be clearly stated on all bank transfers.
A copy of the inter-bank transfer receipt should be sent to Viva Spanish with the enrolment form. Upon receipt of these documents the confirmation documents will be sent together with the full invoice. The deposit is non-refundable but is deductible from the total amount payable.

Viva Spanish can cancel the program, and the student has no right to a refund if the full payment has not been made at least one week in advance of the course starting date.
Students can extend their course by paying the full amount the week prior to the extension.
Promotional offers cannot be accumulated or combined. These are applicable prior to enrolment and cannot be applied after the booking has been made.
Public holidays and vacations
Viva Spanish is closed on public holidays. The school will be closed two weeks at Christmas and all Easter. These days will not count in any contract and students will not pay for them.
The case of public holidays, which occur on a Monday, students may begin their course on the Tuesday of that week or the following day according to the course schedule.
Long-term students must inform the school at least 15 days in advance regarding the temporarily interruption of the course for vacation reasons. This is subject to previous school approval.
All classes will be recovered. Refunds will not be made if the student is unable to attend the replacement classes.
Course cancellation and changes
Cancellations received at least 15 days prior to the course initiation, fees will be refunded less €100 non-refundable. For cancellations of less than 14 days no refund is given. Cancellations will only be accepted in writing (email). Cancellations made by telephone will not be considered valid.
Once a student has begun their course at Viva Spanish they must complete their full course of study. The full course of study is defined as the initial enrolment period. No refund will be given if a student withdraws from the course before the completion of the full course of study.
If a student wishes to change the course they are attending it may be possible to change to an alternative course or programme of the same value, depending on availability. Students cannot change from group tuition to individual tuition. No refunds can be given for course changes including changes to a less intensive course.
For changes to confirmed reservation, 50€ will be charged for administrative costs
Refunds can only be made to the person who booked or paid for the course, in order to comply with Anti Money Laundering legislation.
Postponement of courses
If you cannot attend your course, you may postpone it. All postponements must be made in writing at least seven days prior to the course start date. You have three months in which to inform Viva Spanish of your new dates and pay the re-arrangement fee of €50. Viva Spanish will hold all fees already received for the three-month period. A course may only be re-arranged once.
Discipline and expulsion
If students’ behaviour or conduct is unsatisfactory, they will be subject to the School’s disciplinary procedures. A serious breach of conduct may result in expulsion. In the event of an expulsion, fees are not refunded. Additional charges for flights and other costs will not be covered by the school and are the responsibility of the student or, in the case of underage students, their parents/guardians.
All the expenses claimed for damages caused to third parties incurred by students, will be charged to the students concerned.
In the case that the students or their agency have not paid the total sum (course, accommodation and other services contracted) one week before the beginning of the course, Viva Spanish will cancel the Student’s place without any refund.
Students must arrange appropriate medical, travel and personal insurance. Students are not insured by Viva Spanish or by the family/residence, against accidents, illness, theft, loss of personal effects or damage to property. Viva Spanish accepts no responsibility in the event of such occurrences.
Personal data protection
Viva Spanish would like to inform you that in compliance with Spanish Law 15/1999, December 13, regarding the protection of personal data, your personal details within these general conditions will be stored in a database (whose liability and responsibility is Viva Spanish), solely for the commercial and operative purposes of the company. By accepting these Terms and Conditions you give your consent to the above said treatment and for their use for the aforementioned purposes. You have the right to request that we inform you of your rights to access, correct and cancel such information within the established terms of the prevailing legislation, by writing to the address: Calle Embajadores 110, Madrid– Spain. Viva Spanish reserves the right to use all of the audio-visual material taken when students are at school or during activities organised by the school. This material will be used for the school promotion on social media, websites, flyers, etc. Students who differ, will have to declare it in writing email before the start of the course.
Viva Spanish gives notice that all arrangements for activities, transport or accommodation are made by the school upon the express condition that Viva Spanish will not be responsible for injuries, damages, losses, accidents, delays or irregularities; which may be caused either by any defect in any vehicle, through the acts of noncompliance of any company or persons involved in the transport of passengers, in compliance with the provisions of the programs, or otherwise in relation to any member of the family. No responsibility is accepted for losses or additional expenses due to delays or changes in air, sea, rail, bus or other services, sickness, weather, war, quarantine, strikes, or other liability.
The school reserves the right to make changes which may effect courses, curriculum of courses, programmes or any other content announced in the publications, without prior notice.
